All of our Puppy, Basic and Advanced Group Classes are ongoing… You may attend one or more of our weekly, ongoing classes at any of our three locations. This allows you and your dog to immediately start class, socialize with new dogs/ new people, train in various locations and learn from all of Sublime Canine's fantastic dog trainers!

Cost: $160 for 8; or $25 per Class

Puppy Foundation Class

The average puppy will learn more between the ages of three weeks to 6 months than they do in an entire lifetime. Our development and foundation training program specifically for puppies less than 6 months of age will teach you how to capitalize on this crucial imprinting period as well as socialize and teach your puppy obedience behaviors that will last a lifetime. Training and experiences during this time set the stage for a dog’s perception of it’s environment and how to react to stimuli.

Socialization Skills - Confidence Building - Basic Obedience - Problem Behavior Problem solving/ prevention - Off Leash Socialization

Age: 10 weeks – 6 months. Must be current on vaccines.

Basic Obedience Class

Our Basic Obedience class is designed for dogs age 6 months and older. Although any dog will benefit from our Basic Obedience Class, this class was developed with the rescue/ shelter dog in mind. We focus on enhancing the bond between you and your dog, resolving bad behaviors, teaching basic obedience, problem solving and reinforcing good manners.

Age: 6 months and older. Must be current on vaccines.

Advanced Obedience Class (6 weeks)

Create your own Group Class:

All of Sublime Canines obedience classes can be used to prepare for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. JJ Belcher and Elisa Kinder are AKC Evaluator and offer free AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Test and AKC Canine Good Citizen testing to all of Sublime Canine Students.

Canine Good Citizen Certification:

The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Test is designed to certify dogs that have the training and demeanor to be reliable, well-behaved members of their families and communities. The CGC test welcomes both purebred and mixed-breed dogs. This test is noncompetitive. Dogs are not required to perform the test with the precision required in formal obedience. All dogs that pass all 10 items of the test receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Certification

AKC S.T.A.R. (Socialization, Training, Activity, Responsible) Puppy is the puppy level of Canine Good Citizen. Handler and puppy must successfully pass all 20 steps to receive the metal and certificate. Our Puppy Foundation or Basic Obedience class fulfills the requirements for your puppy to be eligible to be enrolled in the AKC S.T.A.R. puppy program.
